The new 'Outstanding Teachers Do This' course, which I co-present with David Thomson, is proving particularly popular, so much so that we are taking bookings some 18 months ahead. It can be delivered either as a whole or half day course, or 2 hour twilight session. The course combines a series of exemplar lessons observed first hand over many years with a fresh insight into the theory of active learning, effective questioning etc.
I also run a stimulating and highly effective 'Gifted and Talented' half day course. This is an area where I have had both a long held interest and a great deal of personal experience. Many of the ideas are equally applicable to the day-to-day teaching of children of all abilities, so very useful in raising the overall quality of teaching and learning.

I also work with Nightingale Associates, a nationwide architectural practice specialising in education (see under ‘ Management’), and David Thomson, one of IAPS’s approved trainers, specialising in areas such as learning styles, MapWise mind mapping, and LearnSmart study skills.
