Consultancy in collaboration with Nightingale Associates, a large architectural practice with a dozen offices round the UK, who specialise in education.  They have considerable experience of working in both the independent and maintained sectors, and have a particularly good track record in school development planning, and in designing practical and innovative buildings.  I accompany Nightingale’s architectural team from the start of the project. 

Advising Governors or Proprietors on the appointment of new Heads, including advertising, short listing and interviewing.
Advising Heads on the appointment of senior staff.  This is particularly valuable where an internal candidate is being considered.

Advice, support and guidance in prioritising areas for development in this complex and increasingly demanding post.  I provide an invaluable sounding board for any Director of Studies, who keeps my contact details for ongoing support and advice subsequent to any visit.

I provide a perceptive and practical review of the admissions process, from the first contact (website, prospectus, email, phone call) through to the presentation of the school, the parental tour, interview, assessment and offer of a place. This fresh look at admissions helps to ensure that enquiries are converted into new pupils.

A regular visitor to schools to observe lessons, discuss issues with staff and SMT as required, and provide a fresh and impartial outside view of the school.
